Shdeed Privacy Policy

Shdeed is a community technology platform operated by CloudPixel Inc. ("CloudPixel," "Shdeed," "we," "us," or "our"). Shdeed helps individuals connect with community organizations, including religious institutions, community centers, schools, nonprofits, and other participating organizations.

This Privacy Policy explains how CloudPixel Inc. collects, uses, discloses, retains, and protects information when you use the Shdeed mobile application, Shdeed websites, organization administrative portals, and related services.

By using Shdeed, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Collect

The information we collect depends on how you use Shdeed and which organizations and features you interact with.

Account and Profile Information

When you create or use a Shdeed account, we may collect:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Profile photo
• Authentication identifiers
• Organization connections and roles
• Account creation and login information

Shdeed may support authentication through email and password and supported identity providers such as Google and Apple.

Organization Information

Shdeed records your relationship with organizations you choose to connect with, including:

• Organizations you connect with
• Membership or connection status
• Organization-specific permissions or roles
• Preferences associated with an organization

Each participating organization controls its own organization-specific content and administrative information within Shdeed.

Activity and Feature Information

Depending on the features you use, we may process information related to:

• Events and registrations
• Announcements and community content
• Prayer and notification preferences
• Quran bookmarks, notes, and reading preferences
• Ramadan and Iftar registrations or sponsorship information
• Saved content
• Application preferences
• Organization switching and personalization

Not every feature is available for every organization.

Support Information

If you submit a support request, we may collect:

• Ticket category
• Subject
• Description
• Messages exchanged through the support conversation
• Images or screenshots you choose to attach
• Ticket status and assignment information
• Information necessary to troubleshoot the issue

Support requests submitted to your organization are available only to you and authorized representatives of that organization.

Support requests submitted by an organization to Shdeed are available to authorized organization administrators and authorized Shdeed support personnel.

Location Information

Certain Shdeed features, including prayer calculations and Qibla direction, may use device location with your permission.

Where practical, location information is used for the specific feature you request.

Shdeed does not use your location for advertising.

You can deny or revoke location permission through your device settings. Location-dependent features may then require manual location entry or may not operate fully.

Device and Technical Information

We may collect technical information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve Shdeed, including:

• Device type
• Operating system
• App version
• Application and device identifiers
• Push-notification tokens
• Authentication/session information
• Diagnostic information
• Crash reports
• Error logs
• Security and abuse-prevention information

2. How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Create and maintain Shdeed accounts
• Authenticate users
• Connect users with participating organizations
• Provide community, prayer, Islamic-content, event, and Ramadan functionality
• Provide requested notifications
• Provide organization administration capabilities
• Provide customer and technical support
• Protect Shdeed and participating organizations from misuse
• Diagnose application and service problems
• Improve reliability and usability
• Meet legal, security, regulatory, and contractual obligations

We do not sell personal information.

We do not use personal information for third-party targeted advertising.

3. Participating Organizations

Shdeed is a multi-organization platform.

Information associated specifically with your relationship with an organization may be available to authorized administrators of that organization.

An organization may use Shdeed information as necessary to:

• Manage organization connections
• Administer events and programs
• Communicate with members
• Respond to support requests
• Operate Ramadan or other community programs
• Manage organization permissions and administrative access

Shdeed is designed to separate organization-owned private information between participating organizations.

An organization's administrators are not given normal access to the private information of another organization.

Shdeed platform administrators do not automatically receive access to private member-to-organization support conversations.

4. Service Providers and Disclosure

CloudPixel Inc. uses service providers to operate Shdeed.

These may include providers of:

• Cloud hosting and databases
• Authentication
• Push notifications
• Crash and diagnostic reporting
• Email delivery
• Mapping or location services
• Prayer-time services
• Islamic-content services
• Application distribution

These providers process information only as needed to provide their services and are subject to applicable contractual, technical, or legal protections.

We may also disclose information:

• When required by applicable law
• In response to lawful government requests
• To investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• To protect users, participating organizations, CloudPixel Inc., or others
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of business assets, subject to applicable law

CloudPixel Inc. does not sell personal information.

Current providers include Google Firebase for cloud services, authentication, push delivery and crash reporting; Google and Apple for supported sign-in and device services; Amazon SES for email; and prayer-time and Islamic-content providers such as Aladhan and UmmahAPI. App distribution is provided through Apple and Google when available.

This public website does not use advertising trackers, analytics scripts, session replay, or non-essential cookies. Our hosting provider may process technical request information to deliver and secure the website.

5. Push Notifications

If you enable notifications, Shdeed may send notifications related to:

• Prayer reminders
• Organization announcements
• Events
• Ramadan activities
• Support requests
• Account or service information

Users can control notification permissions through Shdeed where available and through device settings.

6. Account Deletion

You can request deletion of your Shdeed account and associated personal information through the external request pathway below, without accessing or reinstalling the application.

An in-app deletion option is planned for a future app update; it is not available in the current pilot version.

When an account is deleted, CloudPixel Inc. will delete or anonymize personal information associated with the account unless retention is reasonably necessary for:

• Legal obligations
• Security
• Fraud prevention
• Dispute resolution
• Regulatory requirements
• Enforcing agreements
• Legitimate audit requirements

Information retained for one of these purposes will be limited to what is reasonably necessary for that purpose.

Deleting or disabling a connection to an individual organization does not necessarily delete the user's entire Shdeed account.

7. Data Retention

CloudPixel Inc. retains personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Shdeed, maintain user accounts, support participating organizations, protect the platform, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal or contractual requirements.

Retention periods vary depending on the type of information and its purpose.

When information is no longer reasonably necessary, we may delete, anonymize, or aggregate it.

Residual copies may remain for a limited period in backups, security records, and other systems designed to preserve service integrity.

8. Security

CloudPixel Inc. uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information.

Security measures may include:

• Authentication
• Role-based access controls
• Organization-level data separation
• Encryption in transit
• Restricted administrative access
• Security logging
• Secure cloud infrastructure
• Application security rules
• Automated and manual testing

No system can provide an absolute guarantee of security.

9. Children

Shdeed does not permit children under 13 to create Shdeed accounts.

Shdeed is not directed to children under 13, and CloudPixel Inc. does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13 through Shdeed accounts.

Participating organizations may publish information about youth or family programs, but that does not authorize a child under 13 to create an independent Shdeed account.

If CloudPixel Inc. learns that an account was created by a child under 13, we may take steps to delete the account and associated personal information.

10. Your Choices and Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information, including rights to:

• Access information
• Correct information
• Delete information
• Delete your account
• Request information about how your information is used
• Withdraw certain permissions
• Object to or restrict certain processing where applicable

Many account and preference settings can be managed directly in Shdeed.

11. Third-Party Services

Shdeed may provide links to or integrations with third-party services.

Third-party services are governed by their own privacy policies and practices.

This Privacy Policy does not govern services that CloudPixel Inc. does not control.

12. International Users

Shdeed is operated by CloudPixel Inc. in the United States.

Information may be processed in the United States and in other locations where CloudPixel Inc. or its service providers operate.

If you use Shdeed outside the United States, your information may be transferred to countries whose privacy laws differ from those in your country.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Shdeed evolves.

If changes are material, we may provide notice through Shdeed, our website, email, or another appropriate method.

The Effective Date above identifies the current version.
